The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is an easy day trip from St. Louis, Paducah and Cape Girardeau.

The heart of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is located in Cobden, Illinois.  From here you can venture out to explore the individual wineries starting at either end of the trail.

Spend a half day to get the local flavor of southern Illinois or book a stay at a local Bed and Breakfast for a more leisurely visit.  Either way, you are sure to have a special, memorable trip where you can enjoy world class wines without international airfare.
