Chill Out in July

Chill out with a glass of your favorite Shawnee Hills Wine Trail wine in July. Enjoy a glass with friends while traveling the trail or bring a bottle or two home to enjoy at a BBQ. No matter what the occasion, we have the perfect wine for you. Need help choosing what wines to bring to an event? Ask one of the staff along the trail. We can help you select the perfect wine, whether you are grilling steak or salmon or roasting hot dogs and enjoying smores.

Harvest Month - August

Vineyard and cellar crews are working double time during the month of August. Several varieties of grapes are nearing harvest and will be ready to pick by the end of the month. ie: Niagara, Vignoles. The vineyard crews are busy combing the vines, dropping clusters and shoot thinning to ensure quality fruit while the cellar crew is preparing the equipment for crush & press. Visit the wineries along the trail during the month of August for a chance to see the grapes on the vine before they are gone for another year or for a chance to see the crews in action.

Illinois Wine Month - September

Join the individual wineries for festivals, FREE MUSIC and much more during Illinois Wine Month. September in southern Illinois is full swing harvest season for the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail wineries. The weather is beautiful, this year's vintage is under production and last year's vintage is perfectly aged for sipping. What more can you ask for! See you on the trail.

Join us for fine wines, live music, local artisans and much more at our annual Fall Festival. All twelve wineries will be in attendance Labor Day Weekend at the DownTown Park in Cobden for another fantastic festival, celebrating another great year on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail!
