Wine & Food Pairing Weekends
Wineries of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail have partnered together to create a series of thoughtfully themed wine and food pairing weekends. By featuring pairings at select locations for each event, we’ve created a collaborative approach that allows guests more time to relax, linger, and fully enjoy each tasting. The goal is to create a more comfortable and immersive experience while still celebrating the spirit of the Wine Trail as a whole.
Is there anything more classic than the perfect wine paired with the right cheese? Join us for a fun-filled weekend of cheese-inspired dishes that highlight how cheese can play the perfect supporting role to our award-winning wines. Participating wineries will showcase a variety of delicious, comforting cheese and cheese-infused pairings designed to complement different styles of Illinois wine, making this an ideal weekend to sip, savor, and explore at a more leisurely pace.
All wineries are all open for regular business hours during this event. Select wineries, listed below, will be offering pairings.

Works
Pre-purchase your ticket online and select your starting point. The first winery that you visit will give you a souvenir wine glass and your tasting ticket. Bring your ticket to each participating location along the trail to enjoy your pairings. Leave your completed/stamped tasting ticket at the last winery visited to be entered for a chance to win tickets to our next Wine & Food Pairing Weekend Event.

March Pairing Weekend – Participating Wineries
Wine and food pairings during the March event will be featured at the following Shawnee Hills Wine Trail wineries:
Owl Creek Vineyard:
Blue Sky Vineyard: Italian Tortellini Pasta Salad paired with Traminette
StarView Vineyards: Bruschetta paired with Dry Rosé or Morning Star
Feather Hills Vineyard:
Honker Hill Winery: Hot Bacon Wrapped Mozzarella Sticks paired with Honker Hill Woody Red or Chambourcin.
Wichmann Vineyard:
Ticket Information
Ticket Information: $30.00 per person plus tax and credit card fees.
Designated Driver Prices: $30.00 per person. DD’s will receive food samples, a non-alcoholic drink at each winery, and the chance to win prizes.
Ticket Includes: One sample of wine (1 ounce) and a sample dish that is chosen to pair perfectly with the selected wine at participating Shawnee Hills Wine Trail wineries, one souvenir Shawnee Hills Wine Trail logo wine glass and entry into a drawing for fabulous prizes along the trail.
